US-based architecture firm Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a task order by the US General Services Administration (GSA) to deliver logistics services for the US Marine Corps (USMC) Special Operations Command (MARSOC) Raiders.

The new contract has a potential value of more than $39m and will see Jacobs provide services for MARSOC Raiders’ facilities located at Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Base Camp Pendleton, California.

The Marine Raider Regiment offers customised military combat-skills training and advisor support for identified foreign forces, with an aim to improve their tactical capabilities.

Jacobs is expected to deliver varied services associated with weapons system sustainment, including logistics services in operations, supply administration, warehouse operations, material management and transportation support for embarkation, as well as motor transport operations.

The scope of the deal also includes provisions for maintenance support and management of communications-electronics, engineering ordnance (weapons and optics), motor transport, deployable assets, and facilities management.
