GovCIO’s wholly owned subsidiary Salient CRGT has been awarded a new contract to provide fixed submarine broadcast system (FSBS) related engineering services to the US Navy.
The new indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has been awarded by the US Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic.

Total value of this performance-based single award contract is approximately $99.18m.
The contract will see Salient CRGT deliver a wide range of FSBS fixed very low frequency/low frequency (FVLF/LF) engineering, technical, support as well as sustainment life cycle management (LCM) services to the Navy.
In addition, the company will perform various FSBS FVLF/LF sustainment and support activities at Naval Shore Antenna Transmitter Site.
This covers research, design, development, test and evaluation, programme management support, equipment and material support, software engineering, logistical, engineering, technical, training as well as site installation and activation work.

By GlobalDataThe company will carry out this work from different continental US locations, including Hawaii, California, Oklahoma, Maine, Virginia, Washington and South Carolina.
Some part of work will also be performed outside the continental US regions, including Japan, Australia, Italy, Puerto Rico and Iceland.
All this work is being performed under the NIWC Atlantic’s Shore Submarine Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Integrated Programme Team (IPT) Programme Office.
GovCIO National Security Sector president John Anderson said: “Our contract award supports the NIWC Atlantic and is a critical component of our nation’s Submarine Force C4I backbone.
“This is a critical no-fail mission, and we are honoured that our Navy recognised the mission-first culture that permeates our company and chose to trust us with this important mission.”
As per the US Department of Defense announcement, this competitively procured award has a five-year ordering period and the work is scheduled to conclude by January 2030.
