Cubic has secured a subcontract from the prime contractor Carley to support the US Navy’s training modernisation effort and enhance fleet readiness.
The subcontract has been awarded under the Sailor 2025 (S2025) Ready, Relevant Learning (RRL) fiscal year 2022 (FY22) Content Conversion contract.

The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) was awarded to Carley in March by the US Naval Air Warfare Centre Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD).
The US Navy’s S2025 programme aims to improve personnel management and training systems for recruiting, developing, managing, rewarding and retaining the future forces.
Under the contract, Carley with Cubic’s support will deliver training content to include designing, developing and delivering modernised training content and other courseware training products for Navy’s ratings.
The content will be provided to the US Navy sailors throughout their learning period.

By GlobalDataCubic Mission and Performance Solutions president Mike Knowles said: “This is the third contract award for the collective Carley-Cubic team and demonstrates the Navy’s continued confidence in our ability to deliver operationally relevant training to our Sailors and the fleet.”
As part of the subcontract, Cubic will use innovative instructional system design, system engineering and training assessment approaches along with new technologies to support the training.
This work will simultaneously support the S2025 programme’s goal to improve Sailors’ transfer of training to operational work environment.
The contract related work will be carried out in Orlando and Florida.
The work is expected to complete by March 2027.
Cubic live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training vice president and general manager Jonas Furukrona said: “Focusing on the context, length of service, and experience in the fleet are all relevant factors to determine the most effective time to educate Sailors.”
