Curtiss-Wright has secured contracts worth more than $130m to support the US Navy’s Virginia-class nuclear-powered attack submarine, Columbia-class submarine, and Ford (‘F’)-class aircraft carrier programmes.
The company will provide propulsion valves, pumps, and advanced instrumentation and control systems for these platforms.

Bechtel Plant Machinery and General Dynamics Electric Boat awarded the contracts to support ship construction, spare parts and submarine back-fit procurements.

Contractual work will be carried out at the company’s facilities in New York and Pennsylvania within its ‘Defense Electronics’ and ‘Naval and Power’ segments.

Last July, Curtiss-Wright won contracts worth more than $220m to provide support to US Navy submarine and aircraft carrier programmes.
The US Navy signed contracts worth $9.4bn for two Columbia-class nuclear missile submarines with General Dynamics Electric Boat in November last year.
In November 2019, Curtiss-Wright agreed to acquire 901D Holdings for $132m.
