BAE Systems Australia has chosen Saab and Lockheed Martin as preferred partners for combat system integration on Hunter-class future frigates for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

BAE Systems will provide services for design, integration, testing, and activation of the combat system to be installed on the Hunter-class warships. Lockheed Martin and Saab will provide Aegis weapon system and advanced tactical interface respectively.

US Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a $1.73bn contract to PAE ISR to deliver intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support services for the Resolute Eagle unmanned aerial system.

The services provided by the company under the five-year contract will enable Group 3 interim flight clearance for the Resolute Eagle aircraft.

Based in Virginia, US, PAE ISR is a full-service provider for unmanned aerial systems.

Stratascor LLC has secured a contract worth $210m to provide technical services for MSC’s ship fleet and network operations centres.

Under the contract, the company will provide command, control, communications, and computer system operations along with sustainment support.

Contractual work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia, US, until December 2023.

Boeing has awarded a $108m contract to Lockheed Martin for phase II F/A-18E/F Super Hornet Block II Infrared Search and Track (IRST) programme of the US Navy.

The contract covers development, platform integration, flight test, and qualification of the IRST21 Block II sensor system.

The US Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SRMC) has awarded a $42.64m contract to a group of companies for fixed priced delivery orders and maintenance services.

Members of the group include BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair, Colonna Shipyards Inc, East Coast Repair and Fabrication LLC, Metro Machine Corp, North Florida Shipyards, and Tecnico Corp.

Contractual work will be performed in Mayport, Florida, until November 2019.
