The new generation of electromagnetic speed log helps measure the ships’ speed more accurately and securely support the digital transition of combat ships, while remaining compatible with previous versions.

Equipped with two-speed sensors (single or double axis), the LMN6 will be able to measure longitudinal and transversal speeds, as well as transmit speed, distance information and ensure continuity.

The Atos solution features a colour touchscreen, a semi-automatic calibration by GPS for quick log installation, a programmable console mounted directly on the device and an ethernet connection to securely access information from anywhere on the ship.

Atos will install the solution on a range of French naval platforms such as La Fayette class frigates, Horizon-class frigates, surveillance frigates, Avisos and mine hunters at the end of the year.
