Azure Summit Technology has secured a second delivery order for the supply of new radio frequency (RF) transceivers to the US Navy.

Valued at more than $5m, the order is part of the company’s five-year, $48.5m indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with the US Navy.

Delivery of the new RF transceivers will help support the navy’s AN/ZLQ-1 V2 Common Chassis for the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA), Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems (PMUAS), and Submarine Sensor Systems programmes.

Under the delivery order, the US Navy intends to purchase four, five and eight-channel radio frequency (RF) transceivers and 16×12 fully non-blocking RF Switch Matrices for systems deployed on submarines, manned aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
