A new task order has been awarded to CACI International for the delivery of engineering and technical related services (ETRS) to the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division.

The $48m task order has been awarded under the US Navy’s SeaPort II Omnibus Engineering and Technical Support Services contract vehicle.

The five-year, single-award order covers continuing engineering services work to be carried out within CACI International’s surveillance and reconnaissance market area.

The company will be responsible for supporting the Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division’s Picatinny Detachment under the deal.

CACI will also deliver technical systems engineering analyses, engineering studies, test and evaluation support, and integrated product support for multiple gun weapons systems as part of the arrangement.

Furthermore, the company will be required to provide the service with engineering, technical and logistics support services for the programmes responsible for acquiring, managing, storing, transporting and deploying all conventional naval ammunition and missile weapon systems.

The Picatinny Detachment primarily manages gun weapons systems and ammunition, as well as the packaging, handling, storage and transportation of ordnance materials for the US Navy.
