Kaman Aerosystems Jacksonville business unit has won a three-year contract extension for the E 2D Advanced Hawkeye and C 2A Greyhound Outer Wing Panel Programme.
The $11m subcontract, awarded by CPI Aerostructures, will extend up to 2018, and involves the fabrication and supply of sheet metal and extrusion parts to CPI.
Kaman will manufacture the part at its facility in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Northrop Grumman-built E-2 Hawkeye is an airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft.
The C-2 Greyhound is a high-wing cargo aircraft, capable of carrying supplies, post and passengers to and from the US Navy aircraft carriers. It is propelled by two engines.
The sheet metal and extrusion-fabricated parts form part of the E-2Ds’ and C-2As’ outer wing panels.
CPI assembles the parts provided by Kaman and others subcontractors and offers them to Northrop Grumman.
Kaman Aerosystems’ Integrated Structures and Metallics business unit vice-president and general manager Will Zmyndak said: "Kaman is pleased to continue our relationship with CPI on this programme, as it is significant work for our fabrication shop.

Kaman has been a part of the E-2D and C-2A Outer Wing Panel programme since 2008.
