Aecom has secured a task order from the US Navy to deliver engineering and technical support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division.
Valued at $45m, the latest order has a one-year base period with four one-year options.
Under this contract, Aecom will continue to deliver design, development, and engineering services for the production of the navy and marines' newest, most-advanced radar systems.
Aecom management services group president Randy Wotring said: "Our team provides a unique and skilled set of subject matter experts to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Dahlgren Division.
"We are excited to have been chosen as a prime contractor and look forward to continuing our partnership with the US Navy under this task order."
Currently, Aecom supports NSWC's radar systems division, called Q40, to develop the navy's advanced missile defence radar, multi-function radar and dual-band radar, as well as the marines' ground / air task-oriented radar.
AECOM will be responsible for modelling, testing, analysing, and evaluating all aspects of tactical fire control radars for mechanical, electrical, functional and sustainable performance.
In addition, it offers software experts to design, develop and maintain tactical computer programs to support government defence missions at home and abroad.
The company also delivers services, including programme management, system integration, radar performance modelling and simulations, at-sea, and field testing, in addition to a number of engineering disciplines, such as systems, mission, security, safety, communications, and networks.
