“We are pleased to continue to support the US Navy’s combat systems training to maintain proficiency and mission-readiness.”

BFTT is designed to provide coordinated stimulation and simulation of shipboard combat systems to enable navy team training.

This training will provide the capability to troops to conduct realistic joint warfare training across the spectrum of armed conflicts.

In addition, the training will allow personnel to undertake realistic unit-level team training in all areas of primary warfare.

Furthermore, the BFTT system allows sailors to undergo training while on their ships.

Using BFTT, fleet commanding officers can create exercises to prepare for expected missions. The system also provides playback of the crew’s performance to facilitate ongoing improvement.

L3 Unidyne has supported the BFTT In-Service Engineering Agent since 1996, providing a range of services that include engineering and support, training systems, and installation hardware fabrication. The US Navy had also contracted General Electric Intelligent Platforms to provide single board computers for the BFTT programme.

The company has carried out the installation of more than 600 BFTT training systems on US Navy vessels and shore-based training facilities.
