BAE Systems has been awarded a contract by the US Navy to provide communications engineering support and integration services.
The $140m indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract includes one base ordering year period and four additional option years.

Under the contract, BAE will adapt command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) systems right from their concept development through to deployment.
This work will provide reliable and secure communications for US troops across all operating domains.

The latest contract will see the company support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) Integrated Command and Control and Intelligence Division’s mission.
It will help address capability gaps during critical communication by providing quick response solutions.
The company will also provide technical support for IT infrastructure, electronic security systems, as well as audio-visual and video-teleconferencing.
Last month, BAE Systems received a $117m contract from Lockheed Martin to manufacture next-generation missile seekers for the long-range anti-ship missile (LRASM).
