Serco has secured a position on a $44.4m US Navy multiple-award contract to deliver sustainment and technical services.

The Special Projects and Electronic Systems Engineering Support indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract was awarded by the US Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific.

The contract consists of a three-year base performance period and two options of two years each.

Serco will compete for task orders to deliver services in support of experimental and developmental work of electronic systems technologies for the US Navy and other agencies.

The company will provide hardware and software engineering, configuration management, and logistics to support primary systems such as advanced wireless, microwave communication, and submarine electronic surveillance.

The contract will also support other technology, including ancillary sub-systems and C4I system upgrades and sustainment services.

Serco chairman and CEO Dave Dacquino said: “Serco is proud that the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific has selected Serco to continue assisting in its execution of sustainment technical support of special projects and electronic systems.”

The company will carry out the contract work at operational platform sites, shore-based sites, and training sites in the US and other global locations.

Serco provides services covering the full naval programme lifecycle, which includes Design-Integrate–Support.

Earlier this month, the firm announced that it won a spot on a $2.45bn US Navy IDIQ contract to provide support for the installation and testing of C4ISR systems.
