Peraton has received a follow-on technical engineering services contract worth up to $102m from the US Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

As per the contract, the company will be responsible for the acquisition, development, deployment, and operational support of Reentry Body aspects of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) strategic weapons systems of the US Navy.

The contract value is valid over one base year and four optional years.

The company will continue to aid the technical, programmatic, system safety, and operational aspects of the development, refurbishment, and life extension programmes of the Reentry Body systems.

It will also support the assessment of performance and vulnerability of the system to difficult environments.

Most of the contract work will be carried out in Colorado, while the additional work will be done in Washington DC, New Mexico, Florida, and Nebraska.

In February this year, Peraton won a $982.1m indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award contract (IDIQ-MAC) supporting the US Navy’s Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) Family of Systems.

The ten-year IDIQ contract was awarded by Naval Sea Systems Command.

In January, Peraton received four recompete US Navy unmanned maritime systems support (UMSS) task orders worth a total of $27.45m.

The task orders were awarded by the Naval Information Warfare Center separately since August 2019.
