A new surface-to-surface missile has been successfully test fired from the Iranian Navy’s Jamaran destroyer in the waters of the Persian Gulf.

During the test-launch, the Nour missile successfully hit its target from a distance of 100km, according to presstv.ir.

The Iranian Navy also plans to build an upgraded version of the missile with a range of 300km, according to military officials.

The successful testing of the Nour missile enables the Jamaran destroyer to actively participate in peaceful missions in international waters.
