NCI Information Systems has won a prime position on the US Navy’s Seaport Next Generation (Seaport-NxG) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple-award contract (MAC).

SeaPort-NxG is used for procuring support services in 23 functional areas.

These areas include engineering, financial management, information assurance and information technology (IT), and programme management.

Other functional areas include software development, interoperability, test and evaluation and trials support, financial analysis services support, research and development (R&D), quality assurance, and organisational assessment.

SeaPort-NxG is the US Navy’s electronic platform used to award and manage task orders.

The electronic procurement portal improves efficiency, enhances business intelligence and reduces buying cycle times.

Each MAC has a 2.5-year base period of performance with an additional five-year ordering period option.

SeaPort-NxG provides these support services to the entire spectrum of mission areas and technical capabilities supported by the US Navy.

The multiple-award IDIQ contract has a remaining ceiling value of $7.5bn.
