Guam-based Landscape Management Systems (LMS) has secured a contract for environmental services at Joint Region Marianas (JRM) from Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Marianas.

The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a total ceiling value of $25m.

Work under the task order is expected to conclude by April 2021. The contract work is to not exceed more than five years and expected to complete by April 2025.

Procured through the Federal Business Opportunities website, the contract had received two proposals.

NAVFAC Marianas commanding officer captain Daniel Turner said: “Environmental services constitute a large percentage of our mission-critical core function at NAVFAC Marianas in support of JRM and all Guam installations.

“This contract award represents the hard work, dedication and great success of our acquisition and small business professionals in aligning critical Navy requirements with qualified industry partners on Guam.”

Under an initial task order valued at $1.9m, the contract will include mobilisation and base period recurring work at all supported components and tenant commands.

Work order includes operation of a conforming storage facility; management of satellite accumulation sites and initial accumulation points; and daily management, collection, and management of less-than-90-day storage facilities.

The scope of the contract will also include occasional management, disposal, and collection of non-hazardous waste; and the disposal of hazardous waste, hazardous material, and other regulated waste.

Additionally, as per the contract, sampling, testing, and laboratory analysis for hazardous waste, regulated waste, and unknown waste determination; and oil and hazardous substance spill response, clean-up, sampling, laboratory analysis, and disposal will be carried out.
