Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) Technical Solutions division has won a position on the US Navy’s intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) support contract.

Under the contract, the company will provide development, technical, management, and engineering services.

The services will support Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific’s ISR department.

The company is one of the 11 firms selected for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) task order contract.

It includes a three-year base term and comes with an option for extension for two additional years.

HII noted that it will compete for task orders under the contract.

HII Technical Solutions Defense and Federal Services business group president Garry Schwartz said: “This award reaffirms HII’s commitment to the navy and NIWC’s ISR mission and the need for innovative and cost-effective solutions.

“From data analysis and software development, to hardware fabrication and communications systems for autonomous vehicles, HII is proud to support the navy’s increasingly complex and integrated intelligence requirements.”

HII will provide several technical services in support of NIWC’s ISR systems and activities, as well as associated cybersecurity operations.

The company will provide all of these support services from San Diego.

Recently, HII division Ingalls Shipbuilding secured a contract to continue support and services for the US Navy’s San Antonio (LPD 17) class of amphibious transport docks.
