SAES has signed a contract with Thales for manufacturing, integration and tests of sonar systems for the F-110 frigates.
The agreement is valid for ten years and it is the most important contract signed by SAES since the S-80 Spanish submarine contracts.
SAES has been supported by Thales and Navantia, who are the shareholders of the company. The agreement establishes SAES as a reference company in underwater electronics and acoustics in the Spanish defence sector, as well as allow SAES to participate in the most important Spanish naval programmes.
SAES is an expert in the complex area of signal underwater processing, developing advanced technology for security and defence in marine environments.
A significant number of products developed by SAES have dual applications in the civil and defence markets such as intruder detection sonar.
