Toronto, June 3, 2002 – (TSE: CAE) CAE today announced it has been selected to provide control systems for an additional four new MEKOâ 100 Patrol Vessels for the Royal Malaysian Navy, being built by PSC-Naval Dockyard in Lumut, Malaysia. The value of this new business for CAE is C$37 million. It is the second time CAE has been selected to provide control systems for these vessels.

In January 2002, CAE announced a C$21 million contract for control systems for the first two ships. This brings the total value of business to CAE for this Royal Malaysian Navy project to C$58 million. CAE will deliver the six control systems by the end of 2004.

‘CAE’s Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) is the world’s first and leading digital control system for naval ships,’ said Rashid Khan, Executive Vice President, Marine Controls, CAE. ‘We believe that CAE’s leading-edge technology will continue to position us well for future contracts for the Royal Malaysian Navy.’
