Electro-Optical Imaging, a company from Melbourne, Florida, has been selected by General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, from Charlotte, North Carolina, as a key member of its Counter-MANPADS Airspace Protection System (CMAPS) team. The company was selected because of its expertise in delivering advanced target detection and tracking systems.

CMAPS is a transformation system that provides effective and affordable protection for military, commercial, general aviation, rotary wing and international aircraft against attack from shoulder-launched missiles known as MANPADS. CMAPS can provide the US with the capability to deliver this protection for aircraft operating from both forward-deployed and civil airports.
