Imenco UK CCTV group recently signed a contract for several hundred rugged naval CCTV cameras.

The Imenco rugged naval CCTV cameras will be delivered to a prime defence contractor for installation on a frontline naval surface ship class.

They will be capable of multiple streaming of smooth 1080p high-definition images over the shared infrastructure of the ship and will be used for general security and surveillance throughout the ship.

CCTV cameras will be installed in large quantities, which will be fundamental for achieving the goal of reduced manning on-board this class of naval ships.

The Imenco rugged naval CCTV cameras are Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and ONVIF compliant, which will facilitate the most low-cost and straightforward system integration. The cameras have been designed to meet the stringent Grade A requirements of MIL-STD-901D “Hammer” shock test, shipboard vibration to MIL-STD-167-1A and MIL-STD-461 EMI.

The Imenco UK Marine and Naval CCTV Projects Group experience and knowledge of delivering similar camera systems to defence integrators, shipyards and navies worldwide were fundamental to achieving this contract success.
