The US Navy has awarded a Training Systems Contract (TSC) III indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract to 28 companies.

The $2bn multiple-awarded contract, to be placed by 2016, will be carried out in phases with 18 companies competing for LOT 1 task orders and ten companies for LOT 2 task orders.

The 18 companies involved in LOT 1 task orders include AAI, CAE, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin Global Training and Logistics, Kratos Technology & Training Solutions, Thales USA Defense & Security and SACI.

The ten companies competing for LOT 2 task orders include Boeing, Cubic Simulation Systems, Computer Science and Indra Systems.

Under the contract, the companies will provide training systems design, development, production, test and evaluation, delivery, modification and support.

Work will be carried out at each awardee’s facility site or at existing or future training sites, and is expected to be completed by 2022.
