The US Navy has awarded a five-year contract to Rolls-Royce to provide comprehensive aircraft engine-care services for the Rolls-Royce AE 2100D3-powered KC-130J air tanker aircraft, flown by the US Marine Corps.

Under the $51m contract the company will provide engines, engine management, support, trouble shooting, parts supply and logistics support for the KC-130J aircraft operating at the US Marine Air Stations.

The KC-130J provides in-flight refuelling for both tactical aircraft and helicopters and can refuel two aircraft simultaneously.
