The Brazilian Navy has awarded a contract to ST Engineering to supply five units of 40mm L70 naval gun and an associated integrated logistics support package.

Under the $20.9m contract, the company will supply five ST Kinetics 40mm L70 NADM330 naval guns.

The naval gun features an electric drive aiming system with brushless motors that enable quick and accurate target tracking of aerial and surface targets.

Additional features include battery-powered operation that allows immediate activation and 101 ready-to-fire rounds in a dual compartment magazine which allow the gunner to select from two types of ammunition without reloading.

The contract is the second received from the Brazilian Navy by the Allied Ordnance of Singapore, a wholly owned subsidiary of ST Kinetics.
