The US Navy has awarded a contract to L-3 Communications Corporation to provide depot-level repair services for the navy’s C-9 aircraft.
Under the $52.2m contract, the company will provide depot repairs and aircraft engine depot repairs, consumables and line replaceable unit supply support for the navy C-9 aircraft.
The navy C-9 aircraft provide cargo and passenger transportation as well as forward deployment logistics support.
The 35.7m-long and 8.2m-tall aircraft has a wingspan of 27.9m and a maximum take-off weight of 48,600kg.
