The US Navy has awarded a $475m contract to General Dynamics for hull, mechanical, electrical and electronic (HME&E) systems alterations installation team (AIT) support on all the US naval vessels.
Under the five-year contract, the company will provide AIT with full range technical support services HME&E during all phases of the installation process on aircraft carriers, surface ships, watercraft, cutters and submarines.
The scope of services include planning, fabrication, installation, evaluation and modification of prototypes and new HME&E systems.
