The US Navy has awarded a $70m contract to information technology company CACI International to provide integrated logistics and engineering system development support services for the navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC).

The navy’s MSC contract includes support for all US military services internationally including operating tankers for fuel transport and dry-cargo ships for the transport of equipment, vehicles, helicopters, ammunition and supplies.

Under the 7.5-year contract, the company will integrate functional and technical expertise in both logistics and engineering systems to enhance the information flow for the MSC between shipboard and shore-based departments.
