DCNS has unveiled the FREMM multimission frigate for the Royal Moroccan Navy in the process of the vessel’s scheduled 2013 delivery.

The France-based company will continue assembly work on the warship and equip the vessel with sensor suites in the next few months, according to Defence Professionals.

The 142m FREMM frigate has a displacement of 6,000t and can reach speeds of up to 27kt.

The warship is designed for reduced crewing and can be used for anti-air, anti-ship and anti-submarine warfare roles.
