The Russian and South Korean Navies will conduct joint military exercises this week in Peter the Great Bay, located in south-eastern Russia.

Interfax news agency reported a regional border office spokesperson as saying that the drills would include searching for a vessel in distress, practising skills to free a hijacked vessel and rescuing crew from sinking vessels.

Two South Korean warships, four Russian warships, an An-26 aircraft and an Mi-8 helicopter will participate in the exercises.
