Lockheed Martin has performed the first successful demonstration of the joint tactical radio system (JTRS) network for the US Navy at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific Combined Test Bed Laboratory.

During the exercise, a Pre-Engineering Development Model of the airborne and maritime / fixed-station JTRS (AMF JTRS) was integrated with the shipboard automated digital network system (ADNS).

The AMF JTRS radio-transmitted maritime command and control applications data, messages, live streaming video, and real-time situational awareness data from the shipboard network to another shipboard workstation.

The demonstration verified the technical maturity of AMF JTRS network in allowing joint forces to communicate.
