L-3 Communications Systems Field Support (SFS) has been awarded a contract to provide full contractor logistics support (CLS) for the US Navy 65 fleet of C-12 aircraft.

Under the initial $32.9m contract, the company will provide lifecycle support and maintenance to C-12 aircraft, and their systems, subsystems and support equipment at 19 locations worldwide.

The C-12 aircraft is used by the navy to provide operational support for rapid, time-sensitive or high-priority movement of personnel and cargo, training pilots, and/or testing assets.

The aircraft can also perform missions that include range clearance, courier flights, medical evacuation and humanitarian rescue or assistance.
