Russia has successfully conducted its second Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile test in the Barents Sea, Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov has said.

The missile was launched from a Russian submarine, which hit the target located on the opposite side of the country on the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.

“The launch was conducted from a submerged position. The warheads hit the test range on schedule,” he added.

Each Sineva submarine-launched missile carries up to ten warheads and has a range of more than 6,800 miles.
