Alliant Techsystems has been awarded a modification contract to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract to exercise an option for AN/AAR-47 missile warning system weapons replaceable assemblies.

Under the $32.4m contract, Alliant will provide 1,700 assemblies that include 600 A(V)2 and B(V)2 integrated optical sensor convertors, 200 A(V)2 and B(V)2 computer processors and 100 A(V)2/B(V)2 control indicators.

The systems will be installed on US Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and other services, as well as various foreign military helicopters, rotorcraft, and low/slow fixed wing aircraft.

Work will be performed at the company’s facilities in the US, Japan and Israel and is expected to be completed in January 2014.
