The Eurotorp consortium has signed a four-year contract with the Direction Générale de l’Armement, the French defence procurement agency, to provide in-service support (ISS) for French navy MU90 torpedoes.

Under the €20m contract the company will also provide maintenance of the associated test benches and tools, while supplying services relating to exercise firings of the MU90 torpedo to be conducted in the Mediterranean sea.

The exercise-related services include preparation, recovery, analysis and reconditioning of the torpedo, as well as associated support equipments, additional spare parts and consumables.

DCNS, a member of the Eurotorp consortium, together with WASS (a subsidiary of the Italian Finmeccanica Group) and Thales will perform more than 60% of the work.
