The Pakistani Navy (PN) will begin the Aman-11, five-day professional exercises tomorrow.

The exercises provide a common platform for information sharing, mutual understanding and identifying areas of interest.

About 12 ships, four aircraft, special operational forces (SOF) and explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) marines teams will participate in the exercises.

The exercises are divided into two phases, harbour phase and sea phase, which include boarding drills, cross-deck landing serial, anti-surface warfare (ASuW) serials, naval gun firings and a night encounter exercise.

The sea phase will also include exercises in maritime interdiction operation (MIO), coordinated missile attacks, anti-air warfare (AAW) and anti-submarine warfare (ASW).

An International Fleet Review (IFR) is also scheduled, during which, various operational activities and serials will be conducted.

The Pakistani Navy has invited 39 countries to take part in the exercises, according to the Daily Mail.
