The Australia-France Defence Co-operation Agreement - Implications for France in the South Pacific

Nautilus Institute, a public policy think tank in Australia has published this white paper focusing on the new defence cooperation agreement between Australia and France, based on common political interests in an effort to provide a legal framework for joint operations in the Pacific region.

The new defence cooperation agreement significantly increased counter-terrorism operations and joint deployments in Afghanistan while creating a mutual obligation on both countries to facilitate logistics support.
