Reutech Radar Systems - Naval Surveillance and Tracking Radar Systems and SubsystemsReutech Radar Systems (RRS) is a specialist manufacturer of advanced pulse Doppler naval 2D surveillance and tracking radar systems, as well as developer and manufacturer of complex radar sub-systems for other major naval equipment suppliers in the global arena. For the past 20 years, the company has supplied their international client-base with proven radar and radar-related solutions in the ground and naval environments. RTS 6400 PULSE-DOPPLER OPTRONICS RADAR TRACKERRTS 6400 is an all-weather pulse-Doppler multi-role optronics and radar tracking system used in gun-fire support and missile fire control for aerial as well as surface target engagement. As the newest tracking system to be commissioned into service, extensive use is made of latest-technology hardware and software algorithms. This guarantees the user the best available performance combined with ease of use and support. Benefits of the RTS 6400 system include:
Eight systems have been commissioned into service aboard the South African Navy’s Valour-class frigates. RSR 210N X-BAND PULSE-DOPPLER AIR/SEA SURVEILLANCE AND HELICOPTER CONTROL RADARThe RSR 210N is lightweight multi-mode pulse-Doppler 2D radar aimed at small surface combatants operating in the littoral environment, naval support vessels, and coast guard patrol vessels. It is also intended for use both as supplementary radar on larger combatants and also as helicopter control radar. The RSR 210N, which features a compact mast-head unit incorporating an innovative planar array antenna, can be used as a stand-alone surveillance system, or can be integrated into a Combat Management System (CMS). Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems can be integrated as an option. RSR 210N is a fully navalised, ECCM-hardened system able to withstand the rigors of adverse weather conditions and hostile Electronic Counter Measures. Five systems are on order from the Royal Norwegian Navy for application as supplementary radars on board the Fridtjof Nansen class frigates, both for helicopter control and general surveillance application. RSR 960 LOW PROBABILITY OF INTERCEPT (LPI) SURVEILLANCE RADARThe Seagull RSR 960 is a light-weight naval surveillance radar that forms part of the RSR 900 StealthRad series of Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radars featuring Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) design. The StealthRad family of radars support covert operation by virtue of their low peak transmit power, rendering them difficult to detect by radar warning receivers. The two-axis stabilised platform provides optimal coverage of the air space as well as minimising errors associated with vessel pitch and roll. The radar is ideally suited for application aboard smaller vessels where both sea and air surveillance is required. Use is made of advanced signal processing techniques to support the detection of small sea and air targets against land, sea and weather clutter backgrounds. NAVAL RADAR SUBSYSTEMSRRS is a provider of advanced subsystems for a variety of naval applications. The company produces, amongst others, high-performance two-axis stabilised platforms, rotator pedestals and fine tolerance welded aluminium antenna structures. These products are manufactured in accordance with stringent international naval standards, with all products proven in service as part of products supplied to a wide variety of NATO and other navies.
