UNDERWATER SURVEILLANCE AND PROTECTION SYSTEMS

KDA – Naval System's underwater protection system is part of the C-Scope family of high-performance maritime, land and air-domain awareness products for ports, coastal authorities, offshore companies, national security and joint-military organizations. Our underwater protection systems are available as permanent or mobile installations.

Long-range sonar, diver-detection sonar, remotely operated vehicles and countermeasures are all integral parts of a complete underwater protection system. The system features comprehensive data reduction to reduce false-alarm rates, taking into account sensor overlap and geographical constraints.

Radar and electro / optical sensors can be integrated to support the automatic data-reduction process to mitigate operator workload.

LASAR 40 – DIVER AND SWIMMER DETECTION SONAR

The LASAR 40 long-range awareness sonar is available in portable or fixed versions, and provides active mode capabilities against underwater threats; specifically divers, swimmers and delivery vehicles. Separate transmit and receive arrays provide the flexibility to adapt the sonar configuration to the difficult environmental conditions typically found in harbor scenarios.

The LASAR 40 awareness sonar uses up to six lightweight arrays to achieve 360° coverage. The modularity of the system gives a customer the ability to populate only those sectors needed for a given coverage requirement. The system's low cost, ease of deployment and proven performance separate it from other diver detection sonars.

C'INSPECTOR – SURVEY, INSPECTION AND INTERDICTION VEHICLE

C'Inspector is a low cost UUV designed for rapid inspection of ship hulls, berths, bridges and piers. Using side-scan sonar and high-resolution sonars, C'Inspector can accurately survey and inspect any underwater feature.

C'Inspector can navigate in fully automatic, semi or manual modes using accurate positioning technology developed for similar mine countermeasures vehicles. The C'Inspector UUV is linked to the operator console using an ultra-low drag and robust fiber optic link which allows real-time data use and decision making. The vehicle can hover automatically in up to 3kn of current and easily achieves speeds of 6kn.

C'SCOPE – MARITIME AWARENESS OPERATOR DISPLAY

C-Scope is a high-performance maritime awareness application for ports, coastal authorities, offshore companies and military organizations. The C-Scope operator display breaks the land / sea divide and provides unsurpassed real-time track plotting, 2-D and 3-D presentation, and analysis utilities. The C-Scope display platform is available as a stand-alone system or as a module within a surveillance application.

The C-Scope display is used to collect, present and filter position dependant information, providing decision support to numerous real-time, planning and analysis activities, including total surface and underwater surveillance.

C'SCOPE MULTI SENSOR INTEGRATION (MSI)

The C'Scope MSI gives the complete underwater picture, easing the task of the sonar operator. It receives data from active and passive sonar signal processors and provides the capabilities of combining data from different sensors, thereby reducing the number of tracks to be investigated by the operator using specific tools for false alarm reduction.

Interoperability is fundamental to the MSI, with its open architecture allowing for exchange of tracks and other information between several C'Scope clients and other network services.
