Bainbridge International - Flame Retardant Protection SystemsBainbridge International designs and produces cover guard® flame retardant temporary protection systems for shipboard applications, during new build refit and maintenance of naval vessels of all classes. Cover guard® is used for floor protection, deck protection, protection of bulkheads, containment, surface protection, wrapping of instruments and many other applications. Cover guard® offers excellent protection for areas with expensive finishes, such as flight decks and also standard surface protection. Cover guard® has a new fire curtain product which can also double as a welding blanket. This product offers maximum protection during hot work and can also offer a flameproof protection required to cover engines and for fire barriers. REDUCING THE RISK OF FIRE, SMOKE AND TOXICITYAfter extensive collaboration with a large number of internationally recognised and approved bodies for the prevention of fire within the maritime and associated insurance organisations, Bainbridge International launched a series of high standard, high strength and quality flame retardant temporary protection systems to the world market. TESTING AND CERTIFICATIONMajor shipyards, naval facilities and outfitting contractors, are using these highly regarded ranges of products. Working closely with Warrington Fire Research Centre in the UK, who are a N.A.M.A.S accredited organization. Ignitability was tested to both Small Flame Test to BS476: Part 12: 1991 and Large Flame Test to BS5852 Crib 7. Smoke and Toxicity emissions were carried out to EN2825 and EN2826 respectively and the Oxygen Index complies with BS2782: Part 1: Method 141: 1986 (ISO 4589-1984).
