Years of experience in consultancy for public services and industry have earned SevenCs the reputation as being the expert for marine geographical information systems in the fields of (W)ECDIS, harbour and coastal surveillance, seafloor mapping, mission critical systems, naval combat systems, simulation and training. SevenCs has a long record of cooperation with hydrographic offices around the world, and has leading manufacturers of commercial and military navigational equipment as major customers. EC2007 ECDIS KERNEL – THE NUMBER ONE (W)ECDIS SOFTWARE DEVELOPER KIT (SDK)EC2007 is an SDK that allows companies and organisations to build their own (W)ECDIS applications. EC2007 SDK complies with:
Several ECDIS applications using EC2007 have been type-approved by the Hydrographic Agency of Germany (BSH), Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and Qinetiq (UK). The open concept of EC2007 is one of the big advantages for the users. It is grounded on international standards so no application based on EC2007 will force a user into a proprietary solution. Supported data formats:
EC2007 ECDIS kernel enables:
ENC TOOLS – EFFICIENT ELECTRONIC NAVIGATIONAL CHART ENC / AML PRODUCTIONThe ENC tools are a collection of software to produce, maintain and disseminate Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) in S-57 / AML format. The solution is based on defined and internationally accepted standards. Therefore this approach does not constitute a proprietary solution. There is not just a facility to display AML symbols, but an additional entire software infrastructure consisting of tools for the production and administration of AML information. These tools are:
ORCA NAVY – ELECTRONIC CHART SYSTEM WITH AML-SYMBOLOGYIn cooperation with the German Navy, SevenCs has launched an AML enabled Electronic Chart System (ECS). The ORCA Navy uses the type approved SevenCs presentation library for ECDIS. Specification supported by ORCA Navy:
Included in ORCA Navy is the SevenCs World Data Set. It displays 200m contours plus depth data with colours graded every 1,000m, tidal arrows from 0.5kt onwards, time zones, international borders, rivers and bodies of water, names and nations.
