Prism Defence test pilots, flight test engineers and aerospace engineers have just completed a three and a half week trial with the Danish Lynx Mark 90B helicopter onboard the Danish inspection vessel EJNAR MIKKELSEN, one of the new Knud Rasmussen class offshore patrol vessels built specifically for North Atlantic and Arctic waters.

The operational role of the Danish inspection vessels includes operations in extreme weather conditions, thus requiring development of expansive ship helicopter operating limits that permit embarked operations in large seas and high winds. Conducting trials around the Faroe Islands in the North Sea enabled a wide range of extreme environmental conditions to be reached, and the trial was another example of Prism developing operational capability in a safe and efficient manner.
