IXSEA - Marine Navigation, Positioning and Imagery Systems

IXSEA's smart technology, experience and marine know-how ensure the most efficient and user-friendly navigation, positioning and imagery systems and solutions. We strive to exceed our customers' expectations every time through high-performance technology, an international sales network, installation and round-the-clock customer support.

GYROCOMPASS, ATTITUDE AND HEADING REFERENCE SYSTEM

The OCTANS IMO-certified survey-grade gyrocompass and complete motion sensor is based on IXSEA's FOG technology, which outputs true heading, roll, pitch, surge, sway, heave, speed, acceleration and rate of turn.

Maintenance-free, the OCTANS gyrocompass and complete motion sensor is based on a strap-down technology and ideal for offshore patrol vessels, mine-hunters, fast patrol boats and submarines. A plug-and-play system, it needs no GPS input and can thus lock onto true North in less than 1min.

PHOTONIC INERTIAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The Photonic Inertial Navigation System (PHINS) is designed for both the defence and civil marine markets. Based on FOG unique strap-down technology, it outputs position, roll, pitch, depth, velocity, heave and heading to a very high level of accuracy, and is ideal for all naval vessels.

MILITARY GPS AND INERTIAL SYSTEM

STARINS, a photonic inertial-navigation system with GRAM-S military Thales GPS receiver, outputs position, heading, roll, pitch, depth, velocity and heave. Its high-accuracy inertial measurement unit is based on IXSEA's FOG technology and an embedded digital-signal processor.

The MIL-SPEC-approved STARINS 100 and 200 range photonic inertial-navigation system is standardised for all international military vessels and equipped with high-accuracy sensors.

INERTIAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The MARINS state-of-the-art Inertial Navigation System (INS) is the first INS based upon the best strap-down FOG technology, providing high reliability and a very cost-effective solution.

It outputs extremely accurate positions, headings, rolls, pitches, depths and velocities. MIL-SPEC-approved, the MARINS INS is ideal on all naval vessels, compatible with any GPS and EM log, and can be up and running within minutes.

UNDERWATER TRACKING SYSTEM

A portable, stand-alone, calibration-free acoustic tracking system, the Global Acoustic Positioning System (GAPS) combines acoustic, inertial and GPS technologies. The GAPS allows easy and efficient tracking of any target.

HIGH-SPEED UNDERWATER TRACKING SYSTEM

MANTTAS is a mobile, adaptive network designed to track multiple underwater platforms over very wide zones. This portable, calibration-free tracking and positioning system consists of a core number of GAPSs with a specific High Speed Tracking (HST) module, which can be installed on buoys or a vessel.

The Bureau Veritas certified Vessel Management System (VMS), driven by the powerful WECDIS geographical information system, interfaces easily to provide real-time display of all surface and sub-sea vessels and air units within the tracking area.

SUB-BOTTOM PROFILERS

ECHOES sub-bottom profilers meet the most demanding geophysical applications, and provide better knowledge of the sediment acoustics and geology through increased penetration and superior resolution.

These sub-bottom profilers come with DELPH seismic-acquisition software, which is CHIRP selectable and provides 24-bit raw data, SEGY 32-bit floating point, multi-ping management, GPS and motion-sensor interface, and real-time waterfall.

MARINE MAGNETOMETERS

MAGIS high resolution, high-speed data-collection marine magnetometers are designed for increased productivity with no compromise on technical quality. They detect metallic objects on the seafloor using Dynamic Nuclear Polarisation (DNM), and measure the earth's magnetic field and its variations.

Easy to deploy and completely adjustment-free, MAGIS plug-and-play marine magnetometers are ideal for mine hunting and route survey, and can be installed on any towed system, ROV or forward-guided vehicle.

MARINE PROCESSING AND MAPPING

The new software suites DELPH sonar, DELPH seismic and Delph Mag include processing and mapping tools with object databasing especially designed for dedicated surveys, real-time on-board operations and onshore processing centres.

SEISMIC IMAGERY AND INTERPRETATION

DELPH seismic interpretation provides real-time and batch-interpretation capabilities with detailed parameter-adjustment capabilities and graphic tools.

SONAR-IMAGERY ACQUISITION AND INTERPRETATION

Real-time sonar-imagery acquisition and interpretation tool, DELPH sonar, is a real-time and batch-survey productivity tool, compatible with most digital and analogue side-scan sonars. Beyond the traditional waterfall display, its global-viewer mode and contact-analysis tool provides advanced interpretation capabilities.

MAGNETIC FILTERING AND MAPPING

Real-time magnetic filtering and mapping tool DELPH Mag locator is the natural complement to the MAGIS sensor for industrial survey and object mapping. A real-time and batch objects mapping-tool, it works with a single MAGIS sensor.
