Bosch Rexroth BV, is part of the worldwide Robert Bosch Company. The division Systems & Engineering (S&E), designs, manufactures and supplies drive and control systems for a range of applications, including: handling at sea; heavy load arresting and buffering; defence; shiplifts; hydraulic test systems; servo motion and servo cylinders; heave compensation and tensioning; heavy load transport and skidding; electronic control systems; dredging hydraulics.

Established in 1954, Systems & Engineering has an expert knowledge of the control of loads, forces and masses, of a precise or a dynamic nature, small or large. For the realization of various drive and control systems, extensive system expertise and know-how is available.

SYSTEMS & ENGINEERING IN THE NAVAL MARKET

In the naval market, we have a large range of different products on offer. All products are delivered with full engineering, project management, installation, commissioning, training and documentation. If possible, we will use in-house manufactured Rexroth components to guarantee optimal quality and service.

HANDLING AT SEA

Systems & Engineering has a complete "underway replenishment at sea system" for transfer of liquids (abeam and astern), transfer of solids, helicopter handling, special cranes and A-frames and winches and capstans.

DRIVE AND CONTROL EQUIPMENT FOR SUBMARINES

We offer complete drive and control packages for submarines and actuators as control manifolds for masts, rudders, winches and valves. Heavy load arresting and buffering, arresting gear engines for safe aircraft landing and ship arresters are also available.

MOTION SIMULATION

A complete product range of motion bases is available. From one Degree Of Freedom (DOF) to six DOF, both hydraulically and electrically driven. Standard systems for ship, train, drive and flight simulators as well as custom designed systems are available. We also offer MIL standard compatible systems.

SHIPLIFTS

Since the late sixties Systems & Engineering has manufactured both hydraulically as well as electrically driven shiplifts. Most of them are used on naval shipyards. The largest shiplift in the world is made by Rexroth Hydraudyne (Volkswerft, Stralsund, Germany).

  • Ceramic coatings on the piston rods of hydraulic cylinders (Ceramax coating)
  • Use of corrosion resistant materials for most external piping and fittings
  • Steel components, if required, a special multi-layer paint systems
  • 24-hours after sales service in more than 65 countries through our local Bosch Rexroth representatives
