Voith Turbo, a globally-active engineering company, received quality management certification in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001 at the beginning of the 1990s, a time when quality management was still an unknown concept to many. This management system has now been expanded by two further modules - the ISO 14001 environmental standard, and OHSAS 18001, which is the non sector-specific guideline for occupational health and safety.
