Paulstra Vibrachoc - New Products

31 January 2005

PAULSTRA has launched a new range of omni-directional high deflection mountings VIB HD, using a special elastomer: especially developed with natural rubber in order to meet the NAVY requirements (other materials can be delivered on request).

These mounts can provide both high level of vibration isolation and shock protection.

The range includes 17 different mounts covering a wide load range from 15kg up to 1,700kg per mount (with axial and radial natural frequencies from 4Hz to 8Hz depending on the load). This mount meets the latest US and European shock standards in use in the naval forces across the globe.

PAULSTRA has also launched a new range of omni-directional medium deflection / high load mounting MN 56 which meets both the European and North American shock standards as well as the French Navy.
The range is made of 4 references with a load range ranging from 1,700kg up to 5,600kg per mount (axial and radial natural frequencies: 4Hz to 7Hz depending on load).

PAULSTRA – VIBRACHOC mounts are included in all DCN (French Navy) programs : new generation nuclear submarines, “Agosta” submarines (Pakistan) and “Scorpene” (Chile, Malaysia), “Lafayette” frigates, “Bravo” (Taiwan), “Delta” (Singapore)…

At the same time, PAULSTRA has been focusing on the electronic market with our hard disk protection mount and other electronic equipment mounting:

E4330F mount:

  • Nominal static load: from 30g to 42.2g per mount
  • Natural frequencies » 20Hz to 30Hz (low natural frequencies for low loads)
  • Excellent damping
  • Amplification at resonance < 5
  • Mount with silicon
SLF mount:
  • Low loads, high displacements
  • Natural rubber or silicon
  • 3 different fixings
  • Natural frequencies: from 20Hz to 30HzM
  • Range of loads: from 0.03kg to 0.10kg

The advantages of this range of products is that their size is very small, their damping ratio is excellent and they allow the use of standard hard disk within a severe environment.
