Bruker Daltonics - Shipboard NC Detection SystemsFor more than 20 years, Bruker Daltonics has gained excellent experience in the development, engineering and manufacturing of sensitive, easy-to-use and military hardened analytical systems. Meanwhile it is the only supplier of the complete range of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear detection instruments. The CBRN product line is based on a broad technological platform, including Mass Spectrometry (MS), Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and others. Bruker is ISO 9001 certified. CBRN DETECTION INSTRUMENTSBruker CBRN detectors can be easily integrated into any kind of CBRN detection systems. The systems are deployed under various environmental conditions. State-of-the-art technology, ruggedized design and modular accessories allow flexible and extensive applications for the detection of hazardous compounds by mounting them on reconnaissance vehicles, ships, helicopters or by hand-held use under field conditions. Sophisticated software supports the integration of our CBRN detectors. SHIPBOARD NUCLEAR CHEMICAL DETECTION SYSTEMSInternational references show that the deployment of our instruments on board as part of Shipboard Nuclear Chemical Detection Systems is one of our key sales activities. RAID ion mobility spectrometers can be used for the detection and monitoring of chemical warfare agents and other toxic substances. For shipborne use, the following configurations are available:
RAID-S2 STATIONARY ION MOBILITY SPECTROMETER New: based on the well proven RAID-S a new kind of stationary detector, the RAID-S2, has been developed. Equipped with an improved measuring system it will be applied for long term monitoring of chemical hazardous agents. The instruments are designed for a variety of applications. Stationary RAID-S2 instruments are key components of chemical detection systems. The instruments can be installed inboard or outboard the ship citadels, or near NBC filter stations, if filter monitoring is required. The integration of hand-held ion mobility spectrometers (RAID-M 100, RAID-XP) is also possible. RAID-M 100 PORTABLE CHEMICAL AND RADIOLOGICAL DETECTOR New: The RAID-M 100 is designed to be operated whilst being held one handed. It is equipped with a data logging system and provides very low detection limits. The innovative RAID-XP combines chemical and radiological detection into one system. The extremely flexible detector has been developed for military use, which includes the harsh naval environment. SVG2 HAND-HELD RADIATION METER The SVG2 is a hand-held microprocessor controlled radiation meter, based on state-of-the-art semiconductor technology. It upgrades the C-detection system to the Nuclear and Chemical Detection System (NCDS). The SVG2 is equipped with integrated sensors for gamma and neutron radiation detection, an external personal dosimeter and an external alpha-beta-gamma probe. A broad range for gamma-dose rate is covered (10nGy/h-20Gy/h). Newly developed handheld probes complete the modular system of SVG2 equipment. For naval environment a special external gamma-probe can be mounted. All NCDS components can be connected and controlled by the NC Monitoring Software. Furthermore the instruments can be integrated into a shipboard control and managing system. The NCDS can be used on any type of ship. A special designed NC detection system is available for submarines.
