SAILOR 500 AND 250 FLEETBROADBAND TERMINALS

The new SAILOR 500 FleetBroadband and SAILOR 250 FleetBroadband terminals represent enormous advancement in the area of marine satellite transmission speeds. SAILOR 500 FleetBroadband has a data speed of up to 432KB/s and with ISDN capability, while SAILOR 250 FleetBroadband has a data speed of up to 284KB/s.

Comparison of these speeds with the weight and size of the antennas demonstrates the notable nature of these speeds. SAILOR 500 FleetBroadband is similar in size to today's SAILOR Fleet55, with an antenna diameter of less than 60cm, weighing 18kg. Yet, data speed is almost seven times as fast. SAILOR 250 FleetBroadband is equally impressive, its antenna is smaller than today's SAILOR Fleet33 with a diameter under 30cm and at just 3kg, weighing only one third of its predecessor.

SAILOR GMDSS FLEET RANGE

The new SAILOR Fleet+ range, consisting of F77, F55 and F33 terminals improves on Thrane & Thrane’s market leading SAILOR Fleet range. Several additions, including a brand new ISDN handset will benefit the user. Not least, the SAILOR 77 Fleet+ can now handle data at 128 KB/s as standard, doubling data speed compared to standard Fleet77 systems.

Thrane & Thrane's SAILOR has become almost synonymous with GMDSS. More than a third of all commercial vessels covered by the international conventions have already chosen SAILOR GMDSS.

The next generation of SAILOR GMDSS is already here with the launch of the SAILOR System 5000 MF/HF, which consists of 150kW, 250kW and 500kW versions, ensuring that all possible applications are catered for. SAILOR System 5000 builds on the huge success of System 4000, by offering GMDSS that is superior in every way.

Newly designed MMI and large tactile buttons ensure that all SAILOR System 5000 models are easy to use. The high quality signal and reception from System 4000 has been improved upon to guarantee excellent audio quality in all conditions. This is aided by completely new handsets that feature a powerful speaker, actively reduce noise and cover the ear. The microphone too has been designed to reduce outside noise.
