Governments and industries need rapid access to information to safeguard vital infrastructures. 3eTI provides world-class wireless infrastructure for vital applications, such as video surveillance with mobile hot-spots and built-in security.
These solutions vastly improve our insight into what is happening, when it is occurring, to (or by) whom, where and why. This knowledge is critical in forming decisions to protect personnel, thwart terrorism, and improve operations.
ENHANCED SECURITY
Wireless infrastructure is ideal to protect cities, military bases, utility complexes, transportation centers, and office parks. It meets the needs for event detection, preparedness, prevention, protection, response and, when necessary, recovery. Wireless infrastructure enhances security by establishing a far-reaching, integrated early warning system to protect vital resources and staff.
An array of video cameras networked by AirGuard wireless video servers can be deployed as components of a wireless alert system. Emergency support personnel can see what is happening, where it is occurring, and respond in real-time.
Mobile wireless access expands information acquisition and management capabilities – it enables the saving of lives while mitigating property and critical infrastructure losses.
WIRELESS – THE KEY COMPONENT
3eTI has established such a wireless security solution. The military bases at which the solution is deployed are a microcosm of a typical community, with hundreds of buildings, public works facilities, fire and police forces, and thousands of daily citizens and commuters. The solution is designed for monitoring, surveillance, alert, control and command communications using myriad sensors.
VIRTUAL MONITORING
The solution – a virtual perimeter monitoring system – is comprised of AirGuard 525 and 528 series wireless video servers, providing high-speed 54MB/s or 108MB/s wireless bridging / repeating, as well as 11MB/s, 54MB/s or 108MB/s WLAN hot-spot connectivity. It uses the latest in government-approved encryption technology, combined with remote controlled, high-sensitivity cameras and other IP-based sensors.
Wireless hot-spots are propagated at each AirGuard video server's location and provide mobile access and control of surveillance video as well as access to the wired LAN. Wireless bridging links all video cameras and provides extended coverage to the furthest reaches of the base boundaries and to key surveillance areas.
STATE-OF-THE-ART SECURITY
AirGuard infrastructure solutions employ Department of Defense-approved, military-spec, rugged access points (APs) with built-in security suitable for harsh environments and extreme temperatures. AirGuard FIPS 140-2 Validated APs and crypto modules deliver hardened security with advanced encryption.
The NIST-approved, 256-bit AES encryption can be further strengthened with JITC-certified DoD PKI and Common Access Cards (CACs). In addition, 3eTI's dynamic user key solution can provide additional levels of wireless network security.
LEGACY SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
In homeland security solutions, 3eTI's hardware and middleware are designed to leverage existing infrastructures as well as integrate with legacy systems. Existing infrastructures can be enhanced with an area-wide monitoring network coupled with Geographic Information System (GIS) maps and floor plans, assisting control of multiple video and sensor networks, electronic devices, and SCADA networks. Such an integrated security solution can centrally monitor and control a broad range of facilities and equipment.
AirGuard wireless solutions offer the best flexibility when designing multifaceted networks. With them you can start small and incrementally grow as labor, design, materials, and maintenance costs are minimized.
AirGuard wireless solutions offer the invaluable advantage of mobile access to vital information where and when it is needed, while still delivering broad coverage with high data- throughput and built-in security.
These homeland security solutions are ideal for all communities, office complexes, universities, medical facilities, power, water and sewage plants, etc. They can provide expansive video surveillance while delivering secure, high-speed, wireless data networking throughout the community.
