Eurotorp Receive 15 million Euro MU90 Contract for French Navy

EUROTORP, the French/Italian Consortium among DCN International, THALES and WASS (a FINMECCANICA company) is being awarded a 15 million Euro contract from DCN and the French MoD (DGA) to supply:

MU90 Torpedo Launching Systems for the French “Primauget” and “La Motte-Piquet” ASW Frigates
MU90 Torpedo Launching Systems for the French ATL2 Maritime Patrol Aircraft in collaboration with DASSAULT AVIATION and THALES AVIONICS.

These systems will greatly improve the ASW capability of the French Navy and secure the operations especially in very shallow waters and/or in severe underwater theatres.

The MU90 Advanced Light Weight Torpedo is the Eurotorp’s leading product and is presently in full steam mass production for the French, Italian, German, Danish, Polish and Australian Navies.
